“Russia could take 2-3 years to seize rest of Donetsk: ISW’s Barros” | Ukraine This Week

Barros says Ukrainian forces are using more effective mechanized tactics in the south, while Russia’s rate of advance has slowed and its tactics are showing diminishing returns. He assesses that it could take Russia at least two to three years to seize the remainder of the Donetsk region, while a potential Russian mobilization could increase the rate of attacks without restoring operational maneuver.
