Rantsofu family accuses Emfuleni of failing to protect whistleblower
Family members of slain Emfuleni Municipal Finance Official, Martha Rantsofu, believe the municipality had failed to protect her after she uncovered alleged fraud.
They were speaking outside the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court, where Janitha van Reenen-Coetzee, who’s accused of defrauding the Emfuleni municipality of more than R400 000 appeared.
Van Reenen-Coetzee was arrested following Rantsofu’s murder. Lerato Makola reports that she has not been linked to the murder.
