Prisoner sues over Vegemite access
A high-security prisoner in Victoria is suing the Department of Justice over being denied access to Vegemite, claiming it prevents him from enjoying his culture. Andre McKechnie is serving a life sentence with a 15-year non-parole period for a murder committed in Queensland in the 1990s. A verdict in the case is expected today.
