Post Reporter Confronts Senior Daycare Centers in Queens After Accusations of Rampant Fraud


The vibrant, east Asian immigrant enclave of Flushing might be New York’s fraud capital, where some blocks are home to over a dozen pharmacies; multi-million-dollar home healthcare agencies are headquartered in empty basement apartments and a staggering 77 social adult day care centers (SADCs) are clustered into a one mile radius.

Those daycares bill Medicaid over $100 million a year, accounting for 14 percent of all daycare spending in the state, a Post investigation reveals.

The Post’s senior reporter Chadwick Moore confronted some of these senior daycares to find out what’s going on.
