#Polish #town celebrates the #meal that saved it from #invasion
In northern Poland, a bowl of hot groats once saved an entire town from invasion. Now the story gets a festival every July.
Trzebiatów’s annual Groats Festival draws visitors from across Poland and beyond with knights’ tournaments, a medieval fair, and over 1,000 portions of the famous “Knight’s Groats” served throughout the day.
