#Poland welcomes a new #Indian #elephant
A female Indian elephant has arrived at the Orientarium in Łódź, where she will become the latest addition to the zoo’s elephant herd.
Maha Kumari, whose name means “great queen” in Hindi, has been given a new home as part of efforts to create conditions for breeding Indian elephants in Poland.
Her arrival marks another step in the zoo’s work to support the species and develop its elephant breeding program.
