Pinarayi Vijayan, John Brittas detained in Delhi during protest against Gyanesh Kumar
Former Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI(M) MP John Brittas were detained by Delhi Police following a protest outside Kerala Bhawan against Gyanesh Kumar.
Speaking after the detention, John Brittas alleged that civil liberties were being curtailed in Delhi and described the police action as an attack on democratic rights. He also issued a strong warning to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah, criticising the use of force.
