Oxygen tank explodes in garbage truck
A sanitation worker in Milwaukee was seriously injured after improperly disposed of trash triggered an explosion inside a garbage truck on July 15. Security camera footage from the city’s Department of Public Works shows the moment the sanitation worker was thrown onto the ground from the force of the blast.
According to the department, the oxygen tanks were not disposed correctly and the explosion occurred as contents from a garbage cart was being emptied and compacted into the truck.
