Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Sunday evening after three motorcycle-borne gunmen opened fire on his vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu district. The ambush occurred near Pushpa Park as Shroff was leaving a football match surrounded by fans, leaving his personal chauffeur, Firdaus, and an autorickshaw driver injured by gunshots and shattered glass. Shortly after the shooting, operatives linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility online, issuing a chilling ultimatum that anyone in the film industry who collaborates with actor Salman Khan will be targeted. In response, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde mobilized 15 specialized crime branch squads to track down the assailants as security across the city is brought to high alert.
