One of Minnesota’s oldest resorts closed decades ago. A St. Paul family revived it.


When resorts close, they typically close for good, often replaced by mansions or developed into expensive getaways. The rare revival of Wambolts bucks that trend. Its rustic character remains intact for new and longtime guests who were shocked to stumble across news of the reopening.
