ON CAM: Putin Navy Sinks Israel-Linked NATO Ship After Launching 3 Powerful Strikes In Black Sea?
A Greek-owned container ship has sunk in the western Black Sea after being struck by three naval drones inside Bulgaria’s Exclusive Economic Zone. The Liberian-flagged CONTSHIP JET was carrying 421 containers and travelling from Israel’s Haifa port to Constanța, Romania, when it came under attack. All 18 crew members, including 14 Filipinos and four Ukrainians, were rescued and taken safely to Bulgaria’s Varna port. Footage verified by Reuters shows a sea drone approaching the vessel before an explosion sends the ship listing. Maritime risk firm Ambrey believes the unmanned surface vehicle could be derived from Russia’s Murena-300S drone design, although responsibility for the attack remains unclear. The incident comes amid a growing wave of drone attacks on commercial shipping in the Black Sea, raising alarm in Bulgaria and across NATO. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has called for a global maritime truce, warning that civilian ships cannot become targets in the Ukraine war.
