EU LEADERS TO DISCUSS CEUTA CRISIS
While the humanitarian crisis is the Spanish exclave of Ceuta continues following the arrival of over 50,000 illegal migrants, EU member state ambassadors held an emergency meeting in Brussels on Monday, with a meeting of EU leaders set to take place on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing crisis.
RUSSIA HITS ZAPORIZHZHIA AGAIN
For the second day in a row, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, killing one person and wounding one more. Meanwhile, Russia says it hit three ships carrying military goods in Ukrainian territorial waters in the Black Sea, as well as one cargo vessel in the port of Mykolaiv.
HUNGARIAN AND ROMANIAN NUCLEAR PLANTS AT RISK
Critically low water levels in the Danube River are endangering the operations of nuclear power plants in Hungary and Romania. While a full shutdown of Hungary’s sole nuclear plant was temporarily averted on Monday, the country – one of Europe’s most nuclear-reliant – could be at risk of an Energy crisis.
