President Donald Trump’s approval rating has hit its lowest point in Fox News polling across his two terms in office just weeks before a critical midterm election gauges voter reaction to his party’s performance in control of Washington over the past two years, according to a new national poll.
CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten unpacks the new numbers, observing that “more Americans who think that we faked the moon landing than the percentage of young voters who actually approve of the job that Trump is doing on inflation,” adding that “these numbers are some of the worst I have ever seen in any poll on any issue for any president.” CNN’s Alayna Treene reports on the new poll as well, and Semafor’s Shelby Talcott reacts.
