NHI constitutionality challenged

The contentious NHI Act is in the Constitutional Court this week. The Board of Healthcare Funders and the Western Cape Provincial Government are challenging the law. They argue that it was passed without proper public participation and consultation. The outcome could determine whether the NHI moves forward or is sent back to the drawing board.
