‘Netanyahu Must Go’: 100,000+ Israelis Protest In Tel Aviv; Heat On PM Bibi Before Election | Watch
Thousands of Israelis took to the streets of Tel Aviv on October 24 to protest against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government, just days before Israel’s October 27 election. Demonstrators gathered at Hostages Square, demanding accountability for the security failures that preceded the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack, which killed around 1,200 people and triggered the war in Gaza. Organised by the October Council, the protest brought together critics of Netanyahu’s leadership, including families of hostages, activists and former military officials. Demonstrators called for an independent inquiry into the October 7 attack and voiced concerns over corruption, the state of Israeli democracy and the government’s handling of the conflict. Some protesters expressed hope that the election could bring political change, while others warned of deeper public frustration if Netanyahu remains in power.
