NDPP withdraws corruption charges against Khumalo: Jazz Vilakazi weighs in
National Director of Public Prosecutions has ordered the withdrawal of charges against Crime Intelligence head, Lieutenant-General Dumisani Khumalo and six others.
The decision follows representations made by the group and an Investigating Directorate Against Corruption memorandum.
Khumalo and his co-accused faced fraud and corruption charges. That’s over the appointment of Brigadier Dineo Mokwele.
Last week, the now-former IDAC head Andrea Johnson conceded that Mokwele was, in fact, qualified for the role in question.A previous witness also admitted that the industrial engineer was charged for a future crime.
