NATO must show unity to prevent miscalculations like Putin’s | Margus Tsahkna
Is Russia becoming desperate? That appears to be reflected in Vladimir Putin’s use of disinformation and threats directed at the Baltic states.
“Russia is weaker today and is feeling the impact of Ukraine’s long-range strikes,” Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said in an interview with TVP World. He stressed that communication and unity are crucial for NATO right now, highlighting the need to clearly demonstrate that the alliance remains strong and united.
“We must not allow a miscalculation like the one seen in 2022,” Tsahkna added. He also referred to recent drone incidents that violated Baltic airspace, for which, he emphasized, Russia bears full responsibility.
According to Tsahkna, amid growing transatlantic tensions Vladimir Putin may attempt to test NATO’s unity.
