Mpumalanga reported most winter initiation deaths: Zolani Mkiva weighs in

Mpumalanga has suffered the most during the winter initiation season, reporting most initiate deaths. Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs data shows that 45 initiates died, 40 people were arrested, 58 illegal initiation schools shut down, and 116 criminal cases were opened.
