Taiwan has joined a growing list of jurisdictions that have suspended some parcel shipments to the United States following the implementation of new rules under President Donald Trump’s administration to end tariff exemptions. The de minimis rule, which allows shipments of goods worth US$800 or less to enter the United States duty-free, will end on August 29, 2025.
