More guns in Australia now than before Port Arthur
This week marks 30 years since 35 people were killed and dozens more were injured in a shooting at Port Arthur, in south-east Tasmania.
The tragedy led to a mass buyback of more than half a million guns and other reforms to gun ownership.
But today, the number of licensed firearms in the country is higher than ever.
Advocates for control say more needs to be done to limit the number of guns in the community, but shooters say they feel unfairly treated.
