Moment Hezbollah building flattened in explosion from Israeli strike on Beirut
Israel is continuing its strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs – with this attack destroying a branch of Al-Qard al-Hassan in the Lebanese capital.
The organisation is formally a charitable financial institution, but Israel and the US have long described it as a key financial arm of Hezbollah.
Al-Qard al-Hassan mainly operates in Hezbollah strongholds across Lebanon’s south and east, and Beirut’s southern suburbs.
Israel – who warned it would target branches of the US-sanctioned financial organisation – also bombed the firm’s buildings in 2024.
