META faces US trial over online child safety | DW News


The first trial stemming from a lawsuit filed by 30 US states against tech giant Meta began Tuesday. It alleges the company violated a slew of federal and state privacy laws for children. The states are seeking over 1 Trillion dollars in damages and are demanding wide-reaching changes to Meta apps like Facebook and Instagram.
