Merriwa man arrested after leaving fiancée’s body in Joondalup | 7NEWS
A 35-year-old Merriwa man, Luke Raymond James Ritchie, has been arrested after admitting to leaving his fiancée’s body in central Joondalup before fleeing the scene, sparking a police manhunt. While Ritchie claims his partner committed suicide and has not been charged with her death, he faces charges for possessing prescription drugs, a controlled weapon, methamphetamine, and driving without a licence. The magistrate denied his bail application, noting he was already in breach after walking out of rehab days earlier and had attempted to escape from a corrections bus, while a coroner investigates the circumstances of his fiancée’s death.
