‘MAYDAY, MAYDAY!’: Doomed Learjet Pilot Nathalia Filgueiras’ FINAL WORDS Before Tragic Florida Crash
Haunting air traffic control audio captures the desperate final moments before a Learjet 60 crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, killing those aboard.
Twenty-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras was identified by her family as one of the pilots on the doomed flight. In the final ATC exchange, an urgent “Mayday” call can be heard as the crew seeks help shortly before the aircraft plunges toward the ground.
Filgueiras had pursued flying from a remarkably young age, earning her private pilot’s license at just 17 while still in high school. Her family says she had accumulated around 1,300 hours of flying experience and had been working as a commercial pilot for approximately nine months.
