Max haze fine raised from S$2 million to S$20 million: Grace Fu
“It is clear that the status quo is not tenable,” Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu said in Parliament on Wed (Nov 4). Following the recent haze episode, Singapore is proposing tougher laws to hold errant companies accountable, including stronger investigative powers, restrictions on business dealings and higher fines of up to S$20 million for haze offences.
