Massive strike on Kyiv and Dnipro amid air defense shortage | Ukraine Brief
Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine, firing 73 missiles and nearly 700 attack drones, causing widespread destruction in Kyiv, Dnipro and other cities. At least 24 people were confirmed to have been killed and more than 100 wounded, as apartment buildings were struck and tens of thousands of residents in Kyiv sought shelter in overcrowded metro stations.
The mayor of Dnipro said cluster munitions were used in attacks on the city to cause more casualties. Rescue efforts continued amid heavily damaged residential areas.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to carry out deep and medium-range strikes on Russia’s oil refineries. This time, the Ilsky oil facility was struck in the Krasnodar region, triggering a fire at the facility while a shortage of fuel supplies continues in occupied Crimea due to mid-range strikes on Russian logistics in southern Ukraine.
And to discuss the shortage of air defense measures, which Ukraine desperately needs to defend itself against the continued Russian onslaught from the air, host Ashim Kumar interviewed Victoria Voytsitska, Energy Expert with the International Center for Ukrainian Victory
