Massive sinkhole swallows cars in Bangkok

A massive sinkhole opened near a Bangkok hospital on September 24, 2025. Measuring roughly 30 by 30 metres wide and 50 metres deep, the sinkhole sucked in cars and electricity poles, stunning commuters and prompting an emergency response in the Thai capital. Speculation mounted that the hole was related to nearby digging for a new underground train line. Officials have yet to confirm what caused the incident.
