The World Health Organization’s Acting Director of the Department of Epidemic and Pandemic Threat Management, Dr. Maria Van Kherkove, explained the organization’s plan on evacuating and repatriating passengers stuck onboard the Hantavirus-stricken ship, the MV Hondius. They are still monitoring the passengers symptoms, with Dr. Kherkove promising “The risk to the general public is low.”
