Marine police seize over RM5mil of meth, two arrested
Marine police have foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs worth nearly RM6 million to Indonesia after intercepting a fibre boat following a high-speed chase off Pulau Rimau in Penang.
Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the operation, conducted on July 17 under Op Taring Gelora, led to the seizure of methamphetamine and drug-laced vape cartridges with a combined value of RM5.99 million.
