Mandela Day | Ramaphosa launches programme to accelerate access to water

Marking International Nelson Mandela Day, President Cyril Ramaphosa today launched the National Water Access Acceleration Programme in Hammanskraal, including 67 boreholes.

This also included the Klipdrift Water Treatment Plant, aimed at improving access to safe water after years of supply and quality challenges.

To unpack the launch, we are joined by Executive Director of Watercan, a South African civil society organisation focused on water justice, Dr Ferrial Adam.
