Malaysia first nation to secure Myanmar’s acceptance of repatriated nationals, says Fahmi

Malaysia is the first country in the world to have successfully convinced Myanmar to accept the return of its nationals, says Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.

Speaking at the Communications Ministry’s monthly assembly on Wednesday (Oct 14), Fahmi, who is also the government spokesperson, described the repatriation, carried out at Myanmar’s expense, as a diplomatic achievement highlighted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
