Madlanga Commission | DDPP warned that there was no prima facie case

The Madlanga Commission has heard that Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Peter Serunye, warned that there was no prima facie case in the Mokwele matter.

It saw Crime Intelligence boss, Lt-General Dumisani Khumalo and others arrested and charged with fraud and corruption over the appointment of Brigadier Dineo Mokwele.

His warning, however, seemingly went unheeded, and evidence showed that the matter was ‘rushed to court when it was not ready for enrollment’.
