Macron quietens crowd at Africa Forward Summit
French President Emmanuel Macron walked on stage to ask attendees to remain quiet at the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya.
Macron — who co-hosted the summit with Kenyan President William Ruto — briefly interrupted a presentation by Yayra Agbofah, founder of upcycling non-profit organisation The Revival, during the Creation in Motion session presented by entrepreneur Marie Lora-Mungai.
“This is a total lack of respect,” Macron told attendees, urging those holding side discussions to continue them outside or in bilateral meeting rooms.
