President Donald Trump is expected to attend The White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend for the first time as commander in chief, prompting backlash from more than 200 journalists, journalism organizations and press freedom groups.
Mentalist Oz Pearlman is hosting the historic Washington dinner on Saturday, April 25, breaking with the tradition of comedians like Seth Meyers and Trevor Noah headlining the event. Comedian Amber Ruffin hosted last year’s dinner.
Other notables include rapper Niki Minaj, who will attend as a guest of Fox News, Fox confirmed to USA TODAY.
