Iran has broken its silence on what really happened during the peace talks with the United States in Islamabad. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said there were “gaps” between Iran and the United States following 21 hours of talks in Islamabad, despite some areas of mutual understanding. He indicated that key differences remained unresolved. According to him, the introduction of additional issues such as the Strait of Hormuz and broader regional concerns further complicated the negotiations.
