Lindsay Clancy mistrial: DA says no decision yet on retrial
Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz said prosecutors have not yet decided whether to retry Lindsay Clancy after her trial ended in a mistrial Friday. “I’m going to be meeting with our team, and we will address this case further at the appropriate time,” Cruz told reporters after the mistrial was declared.
The judge declared a mistrial after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict in the case.
Clancy was charged with killing her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan — in their Duxbury home in January 2023. Her defense argued that she was not criminally responsible because of her mental state at the time, while prosecutors sought first-degree murder convictions.
