Police in KwaZulu-Natal have opened a case of burglary for investigation after voting material belonging to the IEC was reportedly stolen.
The IEC says the unmarked and unused ballot papers were stolen from a voting station in Ward 2 in eThekwini overnight.
IEC Deputy CEO of Election Operations, Masego Sheburi, says the commission will be on high alert should those ballot papers turn up.
