LGE 2026 | Coalition talks in the spotlight as 122 hung councils remain

While Parliament has yet to pass the Local Government: Municipal Structures Amendment Bill—widely known as the Coalitions Bill—some voters remain concerned about the instability of coalition governments.

With 98 percent of votes verified nationally, 122 municipalities around the country are hung.
