Lebanese girl born in a Beirut displacement camp | DW News
This girl has just begun her life in a displacement camp in Beirut — her first breaths taken far from the safety of a home. As fighting continues in southern Lebanon despite an extended ceasefire, thousands of women are facing childbirth in uncertainty and fear. UNFPA reports that more than 13,500 displaced women in Lebanon are pregnant, with around 1,500 expected to give birth in the coming month.
