Weapons, drugs and gangsterism – just another school day at Badirile Secondary. The school has been described by the Gauteng Education MEC as one of the most notorious in Khutsong township. The Gauteng Department of Education identified 245 high-risk schools after screening more than 1,300 schools for drugs, violence and criminal activity. Search-and-seizure operations took place in Carletonville and Orange Farm.
