Killing of senior Lebanese journalist raises concerns over press safety in conflict zones | DW News


The funeral has been held for Amal Khalil, a senior Lebanese journalist who covered southern Lebanon and was killed by an Israeli strike on Wednesday, during a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. The Israeli military said it did not deliberately target journalists and denied reports it fired on rescuers. DW spoke with Sara Qudah, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the Committee to Protect Journalists.
