Kieswetter exits SARS, calls for more funding

Outgoing SARS Commissioner, Edward Kieswetter, has concluded his tenure at the institution.

He says he leaves the organisation restored from the State Capture days, after full implementation of the Nugent Commission recommendations, and one that has institutional integrity.

While welcoming the financial support from National Treasury, he says the wrestle for more funds to make the tax revenue service more efficient, effective and modernised, would likely need to continue.
