Karoline Leavitt to step down as White House Press Secretary
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her position at the end of August, President Donald Trump announced Wednesday.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Leavitt is stepping down to spend more time with her family. He added that she will continue serving as one of his “top outside advisors” and remain an “influential voice within the Republican Party.”
Trump praised Leavitt’s tenure in the role, calling her “one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office.”
