JP Nadda Highlights India’s AI Healthcare Push At World Health Assembly In Geneva
Addressing the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Union Health Minister JP Nadda highlighted India’s rapid progress towards universal health coverage through the Ayushman Bharat initiative and digital healthcare expansion.
He said India has established 185,000 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and created over 880 million digital health IDs under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Nadda also spoke about India’s newly launched Strategy for Artificial Intelligence in Health Care, stressing the need for an ethical and human-centric AI approach.
The minister further reaffirmed India’s role as the “pharmacy of the world” and called for global solidarity to build a healthier future for all at the World Health Assembly.
