John Gotti’s grandson sentenced to prison for $1.1M COVID fraud


A grandson of the late Gambino mob boss John J. Gotti, who tried to use a potential organ donation to his ailing mother to avoid prison after his conviction in a $1.1 million COVID-19 loan scheme, was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison.

Carmine G. Agnello, 40, of Oyster Bay, was also sentenced to 2 years of supervised release, during which he must perform 100 hours of community service. He must also submit to mental health counseling, including for his gambling addiction, the judge said.
