Israeli Strike Targeting Hamas Chief Leaves Building Engulfed in Flames
An Israeli airstrike set a residential building ablaze in Gaza City overnight on May 15, resulting in multiple casualties. At least seven were killed after the strikes hit an apartment and a nearby vehicle, although it was not immediately clear how many casualties were linked to the building seen in the footage.
Israel said it had targeted Izz al-Din al-Haddad, head of Hamas’ armed wing in Gaza, describing him as a key figure behind the October 7, 2023 attacks on Israel. It was not immediately known whether he was killed.
