Iran will play the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the US
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed Iran will play its World Cup games in the United States.
The US is set to host all three of Iran’s group games, where they will face New Zealand, Belgium, and Egypt.
Relations between the two countries have made Iran’s place in the 2026 World Cup uncertain.
FIFA announced the news during an address to the soccer governing body in Canada.
