Iran war: Trump says it’s ‘highly unlikely’ he extends ceasefire

In an interview with Bloomberg Monday, President Donald Trump said it’s “highly unlikely” he would extend the two-week ceasefire with Iran if a deal is not reached. He noted the Strait of Hormuz would remain blocked until an agreement is finalized. Trump added that the truce expires Wednesday evening.

This comes as Pakistan prepares for a new round of talks between the U.S. and Iran. Vice President JD Vance is expected to lead the U.S. delegation to Islamabad.

Ben Friedman, Policy Director at Defense Priorities, joins LiveNOW’s Andy Mac to discuss.
