Iran: Trump’s claims of talks are false as Iran-Oman talks continue
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi denied Wednesday that Iran is currently negotiating with the US over the Strait of Hormuz. He described discussions with Oman as strictly bilateral. “The US claim that negotiations with Iran are currently underway is false,” he told Iranian official media in a televised interview. “There have been no negotiations.”
President Donald Trump said earlier Wednesday that the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened “soon” or he would launch a harsh new attack on Iran.
