After almost a year of sharing walls, light and long silences at the Bag Factory Artists’ Studios, Swaline Mkhonto and Zovuyo Pendu finally show us what that slow, intentional gathering can become.
Their dual exhibition, Site Forming: where encounter takes form, which opened last Saturday, stands as the culmination of their year-long journey as recipients of the Young Womxn Studio Bursary, the vital award founded and funded by artist and Bag Factory alum Sam Nhlengethwa that offers twelve months of studio space to two early-career womxn artists.
